Looking for engine: 650-1000 cc was created by corbs79kz
I have a kz 650 that I am starting to rebuild. I got the project without engine/trans.
I would like to look at larger engine and was wondering if anyone has put modern engine in? and/or if larger would fit fairly easy.

I am looking to purchase engine as well if anyone can recommend where I can find?

You might want to mention location. It costs a lot of money and is a pain to ship an engine.

For direct fit probably any KZ650/750 chain drive model.
Possible fitment w maybe some extra work: 80s models --- KZ750 shaft models, ZN700 shaft,
ZX750 air cooled; 1990s ZR750 Zephyr; & 2000-02 ZR750 ZR7/ZR7S.
All of them are air cooled bikes & some of them have an oil cooler.

I bolted in a '82 KZ 750 R engine in a '77 KZ650 frame. No mods needed. We don't need no stinkin' rubber mounts!

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress
