I have a 1982 kz1000 with a 79-80 motor on the bike. It was a shaft driven and converted to chain. The problem I'm having is the shifting. It will go in gear but I have to hit it two or three times before it goes in gear.
When I first looked under the cover, underneath the sproket. It had 3 gaskets. Well I left those off and put just one. The shift drum was rubbing the cover. So I shaved the cover so it wouldn't rub anymore. Now the shifting! Any ideas why this would be doing this??? It goes in every gear just hard to get in gear.
