I have little smoke or steam coming out of it its bobbered so no airbox is this normal 1980 kz750 h1

Yes it is normal to a degree, you can get a little KN look alike breather filter at Autozone for $10 in the in the hotrod parts isle. It should be 1/2 opening I believe.
