Hello all,
So Ive got an '82 kz550c (the LTD) and Im having issues with the main white-red/white lead that goes from the battery-fuse-rec/reg-ignition. when I fire the bike up the yellow and white wire connection right underneath the key switch start to smoke. the wires right below at the first connection on the white lead (a 6 prong blue connection piece) has hot wires on each side of the connector box. as well, the rectifier wires are warm/hot right near the connection piece. The bike starts and runs fine, but im afraid to run it for more than 5 minutes because of the wire heating issues. (ive switched out most of the old connections under the seat, and cleaned the rest)
any thoughts or advice on how to fix the short/issue would be aprpeciated.
