Neutral Light

Stays on thru all gears. I recently installed a stator/starter and pulled the chain cover. It was working normally up until a ran a short run. Now stays lite. I know its a convenience really and know where neutral is but thought if it was an easy issue to remedy I would. Any ideas?

Pull the cover and check the wiring from the switch. It may be grounded. Ed

Yea I figured that. I think I will ride it awhile before I crack it again. Been sitting too long and summer here in SoCal is irresistible.
