I did not set out to buy a project bike,
but I got one anyway.
cam seal installation tool was created by happyhunter
I have an 82 305 CSR I want to replace a leaking cam seal on. The manual says to use "oil seal driver (special tool)" and it has a number "57001-1022".
I am guessing the dealer could sell me such a piece. Is there a low cost tool that would work well? Or am I best to buy the real McCoy?
Thanks,
HH

Deep Well Socket the right diameter will work just fine. I lube the seal inside surface first with Sil-Glide, a silicone based grease. And then I like Anaerobic sealer around the outside to help both instal the seal and glue it in place.
