Coverplate

Hi.

Does anyone know what the coverplate in the picture is for? I have an oil leak around it and it looks like it's coming from behind the plate. However, when I take it away, it doesn't seem to be anything behind it, except for the engineblock.

Double check for a plug. The crankcase diagram shows a plug & o-ring along with the plate. The top bolt may thread directly into the plug.
