Norris 440SC cam info needed. was created by Dr. Gamma
Been going through my collection of parts from my two disassembled KZ1000 Superbike motors trying to see what I can come up with as far as a nice streetable motor. I have two nice cylinder heads to choose from.

What I need to know do the Norris 440SC cams have the same base circle as stock cams??? If so I will be able to run my Yoshimura Super Bonneville cams in the head that was set up to run the 440SC cams. I think the Yosh cams would make a nicer street setup than a motor with the 440SC cams. I found the lift and duration specs for the 440SC cams, but nothing on the base circle so far.

Dr.G.....I have a set of Norris 440 cams which I just measured and unfortunately :( the base circle is smaller than stock. The measured out to 27.4 mm. or 1.080"

The smart move is to measure the cams you have in your hand. Specific grind numbers do not always mean the base circle of that particular grind will be the same for every one ground. People do order custom base circles.
