install electronic ignition 1979 ltd 1000

I want to install an electronic ignition on my 1979 ltd 1000 I am not familiar with how to set the timing.

If you are using stock ignition you don't need to set timing. If you are using a Dyna ignition you probably use the search feature and find your answer. By the way, welcome.
