thank you for the information.

just another question, looking at pictures of an 1982 A3 engine the tacho is mechanically driven. the engine I have has no provision for mechanically drive of the tacho and looks like it is fitted with a head from perhaps a 1982 H1 model. have you ever seen this parts interchange before?

cheers.... mark

As Tom Jones says, it's not unusual to see engine heads being interchangeable between sister models such as same year CSR with mechanical tach and LTD with electronic tach.

Am thinking it would be be feasible to install an electronic tach to replace the stock mechanical tach.

Thanks again

Would anyone know if the valves from an A3 and H1 are the same or are the H1 valves slightly bigger?

Many thanks. Mark

Info on kawasaki.com includes parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

That's brilliant, thank you so much for the info. I'm watching some inlet valves on eBay at £15 each ( which sounds reasonable to me )

Fab forum!!!!!

Cheers. Mark
