Is there a gasket offered for between the top and bottom pieces of the case? All I'm finding are the sets and none of them have that particular gasket

No, you use a sealant such as Yamabond instead.

I've seen several yamabonds available. Any particular one?

Yes, you want yamabond 4 or Threebond 1104. Same stuff. Does not dry out or get hard.

Hondabond 4, and Hondabond HT too, all the same stuff really. Never had a case leak with these sealants.

The trick with the 4 cylinder motors is make sure everything is ready to go, double check all the parts are where they need to be and have all your bolts clean and ready to go. Once that sealant is on the mating surfaces you need to get it together and torqued up in a limited window. That stuff does not dry hard but it does set up.

I was paranoid when I put my 650 cases together something would leak, 5 years later and no problems.
If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Correct Tyler. Threebond makes all of it and repackages it for the various companies. Not sure why there is not a Kawabond. Bought my Yamabond at my local Kaw dealer before they crashed and burned.

Believe it of not, there is a Kawabond #5 (part #K61079-012A); no doubt it is made by ThreeBond. I've always used Hondabond just because it's available nearby. ThreeBond seems to have the market cornered. Ed

I use Threebond 1194 or the new version 1184. Z1 sells it. 1207B is another popular choice, as is 1211. All perfectly suitable.
