Clutch Issue was created by BIGKEVIN
I went to take the bike out the other day and when I put in first gear, the lurched forward and then cut off. I adjusted the clutch and now whenever I put the bike in gear and start to release the clutch lever, the is vibration that I think is coming from the clutch. I didn't have this the last time I rode the bike. I tried doing the clutch adjustment with the screw with zero gap, 1/4 gap, and 1/2 gap, but still have the same issue. Any assistance is appreciated.

It's not chatter, but more of a vibration. When you go to release to clutch lever to disengage the clutch, there is some type of vibration, like the clutches aren't disengaging properly.

I took the clutch cover off to check on this today and with the clutch cover off, I pulled in the clutch lever and noticed that the spring plate was not moving even. I took the spring plate and the clutch plates out. Didn't notice anything out of the norm, so I put everything back together, adjusted the clutch and everything appears to be good now, Hopefully I'll get a chance to take it out for a ride tomorrow.

Next time youve got the cover off id measure the speings and lay your steel plates on a piece of glass to make sure theyre flat.

Ever check out your generator rotor?
I had a couple magnets break awhile back, which may have happened when the starter clutch bolts loosened...or the other way around. Whatever, I was certain the sound and vibration was coming from the clutch, and wasted the time (and gasket) taking it apart to see. It also sounded like something was loose in the transmission. Fortunately I left that alone.
But when I set my hand on the generator cover (when cool of course), that was when I felt something and began suspecting that the source was in there. It definitely was.
