No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHi,

My KZ750E-L2 valve cover gasket is leaky. I found one on ebay but I don't know if it will fit. Here is the link Also where these smaller gaskets go? Thanks.

Your posting says KZ750E-L2 There are KZ750 E models and KZ750 L models, but I have never heard of a KZ750 E-L model. Are you positive about exactly which model you own? I ask because according to Kawasaki.com the KZ750-E uses a different gasket than the KZ750-L.

Those 2 smaller gaskets are for the reed valves if your bike has them (see image below). Ed

The problem might be that the L2 model was never sold in North America...so we have almost no information on it. I do have some material on the L series, but it is at home. If no one responds, I'll look at what i have this evening.

I suspect that the reed gaskets were not used on the L2 model.

The number on the chasis is KZ750E037315. So what exactly model it is?

As the ebay seller has good positive feedback, you might consider inquiring as to why the wrong picture is apparently shown in the ad.

What country are you in? Lacking a definitive answer, I would remove the valve cover & gasket, then find one that matches what yours looks like. If your bike does not have the Kawasaki Clean Air System w the valve cover caps, then you don't need those smaller gaskets.

To preserve the old gasket, remove all of the valve cover bolts except the ones on the ends --- loosen those a couple of mm, then tap the valve cover loose w a mallet & big screwdriver --- loosen the end bolts some more, then lift up on the cover & pry off the gasket.

Hello Karoliens:

According to the info I have, your frame (chassis) VIN is correct for the L2 model. It was marketed in Europe while we, in the New World, got the (K)Z750-E series. The motors are supposedly very similar so you should be shopping for a gasket for the E series.
