Hell, I heard people say you can go to 1197 on stock cylinder.........
Some say its ok to go to 1105, others claim cylinder sleeve will become to thin.
I wouldn't go 1105 on my stock 1015 cylinder.
I think 1197 would be a BOMB waiting to go off.
There is no problem going to 1075 on a stock 1015 cylinder
My two cents. Good Luck

1075 is a straight bore job. Less money out of pocket.
If all you're intending to do is just make it bigger, no head work, no larger carbs, no real performance cams, then the 1075 kit is your ticket.

Yea.....right...I'm lost in space Here's a little tid bit for you two geniuses. YOU CAN'T BUILD AN 1197 WITH STOCK SLEEVES. $100 says you guys give out more shitty advice by the end of the day
Clearly you two experts have built lots of big Kawasaki's......NOT :woohoo:

That's what irritates me most about forums anymore.... Someone buys a Kawasaki, puts air in the tires and they're transformed into engine experts overnight..........Les was right on the money in that machinist question thread.....
Larry,
Thanks for elevating me to the status of genius. I wasn't trying to piss you off. You obviously missed my point about "not having to wait long for the bomb to go off". The point was that going to 1197 wouldn't work with stock sleeves. I don't think that was bad advice, and I even think you would agree that trying to bore stock sleeves to 1197 would be an exercise in futility. I cannot speak for 4TheKZ1000, but I was under the impression he was making the same point. If you take a look at the comments I believe you will see that neither of us thought trying to go to 1197 with stock sleeves would work. For sure I was NOT giving any advice to try to do so, and I don't understand how you could misinterpret my comments to think I was giving such lame advice.
Now about that $100.

A guy get's heartburn. He buys some TUMS. He's cured. Next thing you know he's on a medial forum diagnosing heart diseases........ All seems fine until a doctor happens by and speaks up....That's as close of an analogy as I can attribute to what I see here around here.

I've seen that too and may have even been guilty of it from time to time, but not this time. Ed
