Throttle cable was created by Tuxedocat
Hi, came into 1978 KZ200 that has been in a barn for many years. It's in decent condition but needs some work. I'm new to all this so I'm slowly learning and making stupid mistakes on the way. just wondering two things.

It needs a new throttle cable. They are hard to kind. The only one I could find was on ebay for like $100. Is that the standard price? I don't know where else to find one.

Where in the world is the oil filter put? Do you really have to take the right side of the engine off?

Thank you so much!

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration$100 is WAY high. Just in case Z1E doesn't have one, here's a new old stock one that's $49 (which is still pretty high - throttle cables are normally $25 - $30). Ed

MotionPro makes custom cables & I think the price isn't that bad, certainly not $100.
If you still have the old one, you can use it as a template for MP to copy.
I think Barnet is another place you could try.

As for the oil filter, the owner's manual or service manual should have the procedure.
With any luck the om is hidden in a document case on the underside of the seat.

I would get a new gasket beforehand. There might be some sort of dressing you could apply to it to make removing the gasket easier next time for reuse, instead of replacing it every oil change.
