When I bought it it was junkyard bound sat for 7 year out side I cleaned it up change the oil/filter flush the gas and it cam to life but the head and base gaskets were leaking. I tor the hole motor down new rings stock size new gaskets and paint and polish lots of polish. It had and still has a 4-1 exhaust and air pods It ran awesome before the tear down but now it has a studer

Compression, fuel, spark, one of them is not right.
Check your ignition advancer for smooth operation.
Or it's jetting in the midrange. What are the jets in
the carbs now? Where is the needle set?

I forgot to mention the#2 cylinder does not got as warm as the other 3 as fast. I didn't do anything to the carbs as they were running the bike fine before the tear down
