kz 1000 high compression on number 4 cylinder was created by paulieflyer2
I have an 82 KZ 1000 that has to much compression on number 4 cylinder,180 the rest are ,are at 150 170
the plug is covered with soot black, it will not run on that cylinder,It's not in the carbs,I consider
myself near expert, with carbs I have done 100's runs good rides good, just not the power of a 1000,more like a 750
at cylinder

Hello, paulieflyer2, and WELCOME to KZr!
Perhaps there's carbon build-up in #4 causing excessive compression.
But probably some other reason for the lack of combustion in #4.
Good Fortune!
