Gpz 11oo clutch into kz 900 was created by The Banned
Is the clutch/basket from the gpz1100 plug an play in the kz900 or a no go??

Most people go the other way as the KZ basket is stronger than the J/Gpz stuff so I guess it would, just can't say for sure.

Thank you.... its a jungle sometimes- some prefere the mk11 due to the strong crank some want the kz900 due to the light crank
The GPZ clutch is lighter than the KZ etc etc etc

Do they have the same number of plates???

Yeah, same clutch kit. The J/Gpz trans is stronger and preferred over the KZ in high hp applications. It does go in KZ cases with a bearing swap.

Also need to change the input shaft if going to fit 83-84 gpz clutch as it needs slightly longer shaft , but not If you use 81-82 clutch.
