No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI keep looking at this:

Anyone heard of these or used them? They are 69mm and give a compression bump of .5 points. Thoughts on this?

Reply from the seller....

Hi Cory
We buy these pistons from a Japanese factory rep. I don't know the name of the manufacturer and he won't tell me the source. I suppose he doesn't want me to bypass him. We buy lots of different motorcycle pistons from him and they come from various factories. These are copies of the original Kawasaki castings and the quality is very good. The increase in compression comes from the bore increase only. The dome is the same height as stock. The coating is done by us in Canada. The pistons carry a factory warranty which we honor here. The coating has a coverage and adhesion guarantee from us but does not have any performance oriented warranty. The coatings are manufactured in the USA by Techline.
Thanks for your interest.

It seems worth noting that he didn't say where the various factories are located (china?).
And the coatings don't have any performance oriented warranty, which seems to be in direct contrast to the amount of hyperbole (BS) in the item description.

The pistons are supposedly Japenese manufactured. As far as garunteeing performance increase due to the coatings, that is no surprise there. I can 't name one manufacturer that will garuntee a HP increase number or performance metric for their product. There are too many variables that contribute to overall engine performance and one as slight as coatings would not yield a hard, tangible number that could be repeated. I mean how many manufacturers stand behind their fuel consumption numbers on the sticker of your car? If your car doesn't make those numbers, they simply tell you it's an average and that your driving and route are probable causing you not to hit your targets, so that is pretty standard to me...,

Google xscycle for reviews.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.
