1980 KZ750 E starter swap? was created by DoctoRot
I have a 750 E, starter is shot. i know people have done a swap on KZ1000 for a starter from a honda for a better crank. has anyone done something like this for the poor old 750? Or if this is not possible, and i end up rebuilding the starter, i have a manual for the KZ650 77-79. Would it overlap enough to guide me through a rebuild of the 750 starter? as far as i understand much of the bottom end is the same. thanks.

I've never heard of an alternative starter for the KZ650/750.
And the differences between any 650 and 750 does not apply
to the starer removal and replacement.
