492 crankshaft rods was created by toad
I have recently purchased a z1 bottom end that was being built for a dragbike and I was told the crank was a mk2.It has a 16 tooth center with a 25mm crank end as well the rods are marked 492 and have been polished and take a 17mm pin.Does anyone know anything about 492 rods?

Larry could tell you about them.
You could call the guy who likely built the crank, John Pearson. This guy is to motorcycle cranks as George Barris is to hotrods.
Any numbers stamped to identify it?
