is there a way to tell which cam is which ?
cams are removed from the head they are from an 82 750 gpz

i have two 1983 kz750 L3

Yes...look at the camshaft sprockets. If the two bolts holding the sprocket to the camshaft are in the round insets, then it is an Inlet camshaft. If the two bolts holding the sprocket to the camshaft are in the square insets, then it is an exhaust camshaft. This info is from the Kawasaki Motorcycle Service Manual.

At page 304 of the 1982 supplement:


Mcdroid :cheer: may well have the better answer, as I may have missed seeing it or looked at the wrong FSM for the model in question. :unsure:
