Hi guys,

Is anyone here running Liska aftermarket cam chain idler sprockets? My stock sprockets are in need of replacement and wanted some feedback. They are less $ than the oem but still very pricey. I like the fact there is no rubber to wear out on them.

Thanks, Doug

I read somewhere that you have to run some slack in the cam chain when you run these solid sprockets. If that's so, how to you go about doing that? I believe it was about 1/8" slack at the sprocket but I could be wrong. Do you guys running these sprockets run the cam chain with some slack or just adjust cam chain tension same as stock?

Stock.
I honestly hadn't heard about adding in some extra slack

I run solid sprockets.
I make my own by replacing the old rubber centre with solid alloy ( cheaper and just the same as using Liska etc ;) )
I run them adjusted just the same as std ones.
Best way is to rock the crank with a spanner whilst lightly taking up the slack on a manual tensioner by hand (no spanner).
You can feel when the slack is taken up .
On a rebuilt motor with new chain etc I run it up to let everything settle and re-check.
Hardly ever needs re-doing after that.

When you say a little noiser does it make a rattly sound or a whirring noise
