I have finally got the bike to run without choke and idle decently. Now it is blowing white smoke pretty bad.
I know its got vacuum leaks around the intake boots on cylinder 1&4. I was just wondering if a vacuum leak would cause the bike to smoke. Its pretty thick white smoke that smells like fuel and my plugs are dry and black. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

No vacuum leaks will not cause the smoking just bad running If the bike is new to you and you just got it running it might just need to be ridden. I have numerous bikes that had been sitting for awhile that smoked bad when I got them running but cleared up the more I rode them. The rings can stick from sitting and running the engine can loosen them up.
Get the vacuum leaks fixed before you go any further though.

Aright thanks. I just put the new boots on the bike and they're still leaking. Do ya have any suggestions for that?

As Baldy said, some bikes tend to smoke for the first few miles of riding. I'd just fix the vacuum leaks and drive it around for a little bit and then go from there.

Just to confirm that the "new boots" are referring to new carb holders (between carb and engine) and not referring to the air box hoses (between carb and airbox).

With carbs fully seated inside the carb holders, and all 4 clamps are snugly tightened, a vacuum leak in the vicinity of a carb holder could result from an improperly capped/plugged vacuum nipple (not fully sealed) and/or a damaged/cracked hose that's connected to a vacuum nipple or nipple at the other end of the hose, or an air leak in the part where the other end of the vacuum attaches.

For example, there might be an air leak somewhere in the clean air system or a leak in a vacuum operated petcock. Or a crack in the hose between the vacuum nipple and whatever component the hose is attached to.

Good Fortune! :)

Yeah the new boots are carb holders between engine and carbs. They are leaking between the engine and boots. So im guessing they just aren't seated correctly against the engine.
As to the smoking i hope you guys are right about it just needing rode a little. I really don't wanna have to tear into it. It only has 11000 miles on it but i don't know how it was taken care of before.

Did you have the carbs off to clean them? Did you mess with carb sync adjusters? I had a carb mis-adjusted and it pulled oil through the valve guides, causing smoking. Is it just in one cylinder?

Yeah i had the carbs off and bench synced them. Its smoking out both sides of the exhaust so im not sure if its all or just a couple. I know plug #1 was black and wet and #4 was just black and dry.
So that makes me think atleast #1 is burning oil.
