Front sproket freedom was created by davido
Long story short,Im working on a CSR1000 special project ( Special meaning taking an especially long time!)
and I have many questions. Im finding the site very helpful and very frustrating also when I see what other people are doing and how quickly theyre doing it.I do plan to put my project on here once its properly off the ground, (if I do it now ,there are going to be pretty huge gaps between my posts).

Anyway,in my research into the CSR,it seems the Z1000J motor has been known to shed its chain at the front sproket. Something to do with the sproket being mounted with a bolt rather than a nut.
It seems that this has happened to mine as there are big chunks of transmisson cover missing ,with a steel strip riveted in as a patch up.
Has anyone else had similar problems? Is this a common fault or just interweb horror stories?
Is there a remedy for this to stop it happening again?
