1989 KZ440 LTD Exhaust
13 Mar 2014 22:09
Does anyone know if the 440B 2-1 exhaust will fit on a 1989 kz440 ltd? I'm looking for a 2-1 and I don't want to drop $300 on the MAC
Slowly but surely

1989?
The factory 2-1 restricts gas flow more than the 2-2 system.
Only problem I see is the rear hanger might need to be modified.

You can probably use the exhaust system from any KZ440. As Nebr_Rex indicated, you may have to fab up a muffler bracket... which could be as simple as reaming out the stock mounting holes... or come up with something almost as easy. Fabrication isn't my thing, but I made a pair of coil brackets out of aluminum bar from the Home Depot.
