KZ650/GPZ750 header question

I have a 1981 CSR KZ650 that ive done a motor swap on with a 1984 GPZ750. Ive read that i can run a kz650 header on a kz750/gpz750 but my question is can i run a newer ninja 600 header on it or no??? Im looking to switch to a 4 into 1 and was wondering if the older ninja 600 would fit since i work next to a salvage that has some used 4 into 1 off some older bikes. Thanks

I don't have a definite answer but I'm going to guess anything 1983 and newer will not be a direct bolt one except the 750 Zephyr and the early 2000's Zr750. Most modern water-cooler sport bikes switched to a side oriented cam drive so the inner two cylinders will be closer together unlike the KZ's that have a central cam chain and have the inner two cylinders spread apart..

However, you may get something close and make it fit though.
