2 weeks later, the parcel arrived and guess what, the nut is too small... Not by much but i cańt even get it on!
The reference says it fits KZ 750b
Now have i ordered the wrong part?? My kz is a european model but I cańt believe this would affect the nut size.
If anyone can enlighten me, I would be extremely grateful because I dońt even know what to order as a replacement :woohoo: and the bike is stuck for at least another two or three weeks

The 20mm nut is probably needed instead of the 18mm nut.

2 weeks?
From Z1, it's usually 2 days.
Good Fortune!

Patton, the shipping time is probably long because the OP is in Paris, France. I'm surprised the part is not available locally. Ed

It is common for a fiche to list when a part is used on a different year, but not the year of the fiche itself.
In this particular case, it is such a generic part, it shows up on almost any kawasaki from that era.
As Ed said, Z1 Enterprises will have to revise that listing. It lists that part as the sprocket nut for the KZ550 family of motors, but that family of motors doesn't even use a sprocket nut. They use a clip.
They do, however, use that same nut for the starter clutch inside the transmission, which is why it appears on the cross reference, in this case.
As Ed and Patton said, the 1976 Kz750B1 uses a 20mm sprocket nut, part number 92016-043. Same part is used on the KZ900 and a few others.
Z1Enterprises says that the 92016-043 nut is replaced by the 92016-028 nut. They are both 20mm nuts, but require different size tools to remove them. The details are in the listing. (It also lists the Kz750B as using it.)

I'm sure they will exchange it. They have been really really good about correcting mistakes and are, in my opinion, the best source for KZ parts. Definitely call them. I'm sure they will happily correct the problem. (They might ship it out and not even care about getting the other one back.)
