exhaust installation kit from z1

I got the kit in the mail.havent opened it yet.It is going to be 75 degrees here tomorrow.I do not see any copper washers so far.Do I have to buy 4 crush washers to install exhausts plus the kit? its 81 kz 1000.I doubt our parts boy here in denton would have a clue what i am talking about.
Proud owner of 1982 650csr again soon. keeping it this time

I would install new crush washers if it were mine. Did you call Z1 and ask if they were supposed to come with the kit?

With the good weekend and if wanting to ride, I would put that header on there and tighten it down. It's not that big of a deal to take it back off and beats having to wait for parts if that is all you need.
You can also put a bead of some good RTV on each pipe and install it. A lot of the Mustang guys(not me, I am Chevy) use the red RTV on their exhaust connections with good success.

1980 KZ1000 LTD-B4(MK II engine) - Progressive suspension, MTC pistons, Dynojet Stage III, all wear items replaced, WFO paint scheme(1978), etc..
Past bikes- 2 1976 Kz900's, 5 1975-76 Honda CB750's, Honda 500 -4, Honda 250, Honda 125, Honda 100, Suzuki RM 250, Honda XL350, Kawasaki KLR 650, etc..
