1983 kz750 k1 (twin) suggested Idle speed?
31 Jan 2014 18:15
I don't have a manual, if you know where I can get one online, please, post the link.
Going through the last of the "winter upkeep" and when it is about 45 and start her up and let her warm up I have to adjust the idle speed to about 1.5k rpm's before she'll stabilize and I can hear even combustion and timing.
Is this normal RPMs?
If it is, great.
If not, I think I've narrowed it down to the pilot jets that need to be re-adjusted.
Also, side note, if I get a dual-function truflex blinker/brake light, do I need a splicing kit? Resistors? Diode? Can I pick this up at radio shack?
Thanks

Yes, about 1000 is right but the tach may not be dead on. Mine reads about 1100 when it's turning 1k.
