750 slugs & jugs on a 650
29 Jan 2014 11:27
Anyone done this? Have a line on parts to make it happen...they are from the same year bike...LOVING the idea of "hidden" displacement, just wondering about the quicksand and the tigers one might encounter along the way ...Any sacrifice of reliability/streetability/ any "ility" Thoughts? Thanx, all!

Your signature shows your bike as a 1978 KZ650, but you mentioned the donor and target bike are the same year. Is the 1978 KZ650 the one you plan to change? If so, keep in mind that the 1978 KZ750 has a 2 cylinder engine. The 4 cylinder KZ750 didn't come out until 1980. Ed

WOW! Thanx! The question did not EVEN occur to me (2cyl -vs- 4cyl) Well, never mind that, darnit!! That is one trigger I will not be pulling! No wonder my forum search came up empty-handed...LOL! Thanx again, Ed! (As he crawls under desk, red with embarrasment)
