How To Tear Down And Reassemble Kawasaki Engine.

I really don't think this video can be posted enough.

We are having new members joining each day, this will help with their questions.

I wish this was available to me when I bought my basket case. I found it after a year into my build.

Schools In, sharpen those pencils.

This is a factory video.

Really 1.17 hours? I can't sit still that long, I would need a six pack, two pills and a pillow.
Those little guys scare me, I keep thinking, "Pearl Harbor" (Sorry if anyone is offended!)
All put aside, I have done this a few or a 100 times.

Please Help keep the Z1 - KZ going. Please send money to: "ME" at dot com this!

Think about it? We need us old timers to pass this stuff down. I would hate to be sitting in an Old Folks home, sitting in the TV room, drooling, taking meds, and seeing an episode of American Pickers, finding an old KZ or Z1 WTF, hosted by Frank or Mikes Kids? ?? Really?

So save your pictures, pass this stuff on and talk about these motorcycles with your Grand Kids and keep the torch going! Or something like this!

Bust out your old KZ at your 4th of July picnic or summer party, and take it out on your street and blast it! Do a Burnout! Yes! Or at least that is what I do!

Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.

Don't worry fella's Just went off on a tangent. Might have been the 7th beer :P
Been watching used parts and prices on ebay, all the watchers are down, used prices are down (which is good!)
But We got to keep this cult going!
Need a KZ 900 to make it to one of them cable TV shows! Gas Monkey did an old suki or honda awhile back, or a new Bike Overhaulin show? Now there is an Idea! Start emailing the "discovery" network of shows.
But thats just me and my opinion. I seem to lose track that this is a worldwide site!

Hey, hold on just a doggone minute! Harley folks are a cult, not us - we're dedicated enthusiasts. All they ever think about are Harleys (a bad thing); all we ever think about are Kawasakis (a good thing). That make us totally different than those cult guys.    Ed

It felt like I spent more than an hour scraping the old cylinder base gasket off! These are really great engines for a first timer to shred into, the wealth of knowledge available here, combined with a pretty "mechanic friendly" engine design make the kaws a pretty easy build. Hardest part is camshaft timing and Carb tuning!
Mine:
04 Honda rebel 250(wifes)
04 GSXR 750(bolt on galore)
98 CBR 600F3(filter, pipe, adjustable cam sprokets, dyno tune)
76 KZ900A (LTD gauge pods, crash bars, LTD(style)pipes, dyna coils and ignition, headwork and mild port cleanup by cavanaugh racing, K&N filter pods, heck I dunno.
