Hi all,This forum was a great help to me when i built my kz 550 before maybe you guys can help me out again.

I picked up a 1978 kz650 for 400 bucks not running but the motor turns and has compression 22,000 original miles. The bike was left on an air force base back in 91.The stock exhaust was rotted with rust and unusable,so i found a 4 into one header with a supertrapp pipe on craigslist for 100 bucks. The issue is it does not have permanently attatched flanges like my other one from my 550 did and the stock collars will not work due to the ends are not not like the stock flared style. At the end of the pipes it has an inch or so bigger diamiter like it should have flanges attached. Is there a flange i can buy or i was thinking about cutting down my stock collars to fit?

You'll have to find a set of the factory exhaust collars and the eight "clamps".
