Spark Plugs? was created by Serpent7
Kinda new to the bike scene, but want to freshen up the bike this spring and get it running top notch! My kz1000 st will have the following upgrades: Stage 3 jet kit (#145 mains), k&n individual air cleaners, sidewinder header, Kerker muffler (no baffle), Dyna ignition, dyna wires, dyna coils. What plugs, brand and heat level should I use? What gap should I run on them? What tests can I do, or use to make sure I'm tuned nicely?

I use NGK 9's and you can run up to 0.040" ( 1mm) gap with the Dyna 's and coils.

Spark Plug Gap

When running Kawasaki with a Dyna-S and high performance coils set plug gap at .026.

NGK plugs. For a Kawasaki KZ 900-1000 use a B9ES.
