This is a good size. I have used this one and is a very nice fit.
I used a Earls 13 row cooler, link provided. I did get mine in black.
While build process, I wanted room up-front for a bigger oil cooler than a Lockhart. I did remove the bulky looking front frame brace and beefed up the neck and down tubes bracing during the rake process. You will have to work around this brace on your bike.

I'm using this one
pitstopusa.com/i-5078411-tru-cool-heavy-...er-75000-btu-hr.html
and got the oil blocks from either americanclassix or Z1E I can't recall which.
I was on a pretty tight budget when I did it so it's not the best looking but it works. Since the post after my install I have added a small fan that I found on a site that deals with scooters and go- cart so when I'm in slow traffic I can turn it on to have some extra air flow.

Zapzuta, note that 4TheKZ1000 does not have a tachometer cable on that bike. It looks like your bike still has the mechanical tach.
if you want to keep the tach cable (and the stock frame bracing) that 13 row cooler is going to be pretty tall. When I looked into this before even the 10 row seemed a bit tall.
Earl's also makes curved coolers: www.holley.com/types/Temp-A-Cure%20Curved%20Oil%20Coolers.asp

That earl's cooler looks really nice, On my Yamaha FJ1200 I have fitted the Pitstop style cooler which appears to do the job well ( I have a KLX250 cooler fan behind it)- the yamaha runs EXTREMELY hot (Perth Oz 38degree C temperatures aren't a problem).
My Z1R runs an El cheapo GPZ1100 B2 cooler.

Its the only picture showing the cooler I have in hand, it does a good job. I did forget to prime it (I had the engine out for a bearing replacement) the other day and after a slight drag the oil light came on and didn't go off after a short time (it was very hot) so take care when fitting one

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

I have a set of oil cooler inlet and outlets.(for the engine) for a Z1, Kz900/1000. I'd have to locate them in my garage, but I'd sell em cheap.
