Finished the valve adjustment. Thanks for all the help and advice. I used threebond 1211 around the curved edge of the rubber end plugs and just a small dab at the junction of the rubber plug and the valve cover gasket. The torque specified in the Kawasaki manual was 87 inch pounds. I used 85 inch pounds. It's 13 degrees here in Spokane Wa. with lots of snow so the best I could do was run it in the garage. I let it run for 30 minutes with a box fan for cooling and afterwards it showed not leaks. Again thanks for all the help and advice.

Great! Was she nice and quiet afterwards?
1983 kz750 ltd shaft, 4-cyl, stock everything :)
