Exhaust Stud Length? was created by Greeno
Hi, I'm another new guy with a problem.
I've a barn find '77 KZ900.
it's dismantled and i don't have the the exhaust header clamps or studs.
I've seen M6 x 30mm and M6 x 46mm studs on sale for this motorcycle.
Anyone any idea which is right?
Thanks

Other Kawasaki models use 8x30 studs.
But I don't know what uses 6x30.
Could thread a 6mm bolt into the head holes in order to confirm that the 6mm size has not been enlarged to 8mm as used on later models.
Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, fastener sizes, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

According to Kawasaki.com they're 6 x 46 (see diagram below). They are still listed as an "Active" part, so any dealer can get them. Partzilla lists them at $3.27 each (see link). Ed
