KZ750f cylinder bore measurement.. was created by usmc1316
First I like to thank everyone for helping me in the past.
I stuck, I cant tell what I should do... Should I bore out to the next size or just hone the cylinder. I had my cylinders measured and this is what I got,
cylinder 1.
Top 2.6003 / 66.048mm
Bottom 2.5996 / 66.030mm
cylinder 2.
Top 2.6001 / 66.043mm
Bottom 2.5992 /66.020mm
cylinder 3.
Top 2.6003 / 66.048mm
Bottom 2.5996 / 66.030mm
cylinder 4.
Top 2.6009 / 66.063mm
Bottom 2.5995 / 66.027mm
I left the Middle measurements at work... I know the where not grater than the top measurements.
Any input or advice is always welcomed.
Thanks in advance!!!

Those measurements seem reasonable, if not quite good. Sorry, don't have a manual in front of me but what is the service limit? Can't imagine you are above it. I'd get a bottle brush hone to prep the cylinders and slam it back together.

yes, check your service limits. Also were this checks side to side or fore and aft?

I just had a look at my Haynes manual which gives the following information
Cylinder Bores
Standard bore diameter 66.005 - 66.017 mm
Service limit 66.10mm
Ovality (nominal) less than 0.01mm
Service limit more than 0.05mm
Piston/bore clearance 0.040 - 0.067mm
Hope that helps

That does help! I think I'm good, all I need to do is hone the cylinders and that will be one more thing done!
Thanks everyone!

Z1Driver - I forgot to say they did check it for being egg shape. They used a Micrometer with 3-Point Contact and they took multiple measurements.
Its a perk to work at a place with machinist on hand
