OEM Gasket Kit Question

I've looked for gasket kits on the Kawasaki parts fishe but can't find them. Would like to verify the part number of this kit to understand if it's legit. The ad states "Kawasaki KZ 750 E1 E2 H1 H2 gasket kit is new, part #K14046-138."
Can someone please tell me how to find the gaskets in the parts fishe, and check this link to see if you think this kit is legit. Bike in question is 1981 KZ750
Thanks in advance
Ed

I found that Ronayers info but it just raises more questions. How can a gasket kit sell for less than the price of a head gasket? Something doesn't seem right.

OEM gaskets can be pricey. It is not unusual to find a complete aftermarket top end gasket set including head gasket for under $50. It's also not unusual to see OEM head gaskets for $60 or more.Nessism wrote:

If this is a true Kawi factory set, $80 is probably a good price.... assuming it isn't 20 years old and dried out.

I think they were made by Epco (?) and sold by Kawasaki. The "K" before the part number tells you it is a Kawasaki accessory item.. I know the triple gasket kits sucked that came in those boxes.
Kawasaki closed them out some time back around the mid 80's!!!
So you are buying a 25 year old gasket kit. I would look someplace else for a gasket kit.

Found an OEM head gasket on ebay for a fair price so will grab that to start. Engine has oil seepage from the head, and since the engine needs to be cleaned up anyway, may as well tear it down and do the job right.

Its been like 15 years since I worked in a Kawasaki dealership parts department. But soon as I saw that 11028- part number the light bulb went off in my head and remembered those were the good gaskets!!!!

Ordered an OEM base and head gasket, but also ordered that Kawasaki accessory gasket kit as well from NW Vintage Cycle Parts. It was only $50 so figured what the heck. Gasket kit arrived and they are JUNK. Material is hard as a rock and minor flexing caused them to fracture. A bunch of the gaskets were broken into pieces while they were still in the box. Going to try to return the kit. Can't say you didn't try to warn me.
