I'm doing a 1327cc KZ motor. It's going to be an occasional show off ride. I have the 83-84 GPZ1100 head that Larry Cavanaugh is going to do up for me with a little oversized intake and exhaust valves, kibblewhite springs and Star titanium retainers. Web Cams 435, MTC 10.5 to 1 pistons. I am also setting it up for 300 tire with jackshaft swingarm. I know a guy with a KZ1000 crank that has the Falicon 16 tooth center and has been welded and thrust bearing installed. The price seems pretty good. Anybody think this is the crank I need?

you will want a good crank that has been welded and if you can afford it, balanced also. I personally went with a mk11 crank. There the strongest cranks. But i would talk to larry. Iam sure he can hook you up.

Falicon quality went way down when they changed ownership a while back. I have heard bad things going on there.

A race prepped MKII crank with all the good stuff done will set you back a $1000.00

If you want a bullet proof engine you better have a quality lower end.

the crank he is thinking of buying is from Tom Falicon himself when he owned Falicon so there is no issues with it I can assure you of that !

I have meet Tom and his work was very good, I would have no problem buying items from him or made during his ownership of Falicon.

i appreciate the imput guys. The guy that has the crank seems to be very knowiedgable and a no B.S. kind of guy. We talked for a while when I met him and he has been working with these older bike for a long time. With child support and mortgage, this has been a slow project and the $$ doesn't come as easily these days. I'm gonna get that crank from him and try to get this ride movin forward. Again, thanks for the imput. really like this forum.
