KZ750f Need help on engine case swap

I have a 83 KZ750f (Shaft). When I got it the case was cracked and chipped around the (pulsing coil). The previous owner dropped it on that side.
So.... this is my question. Can I use the engine case off an KZ650? KZ750?

Just to clarify terminology:
The engine case is the two halves that house the crankshaft and transmission.
The clutch cover is what houses the clutch and signal generator for the ignitor.
Are you speaking of the clutch cover?

Sorry I can't say if cases from a chain drive 750 would work but I thought cases came as a matched pair and had to be changed together ...... which would mean a huge amount of work for the issue you have.
If it were me I would use JB Weld. I would put a piece for a tin can with some greaseproof paper on the inside an put JB Weld on the outside. Let it set. Sand and paint if necessary. Remove tin and greaseproof paper.

From the photo it looks like a small chip. I cant see the oil pressure sensor but am thinking it it is hidden behind the pulse coil plate and not near the break.

Need a pic of the outside where it is cracked. It may be repairable.
And yes, the cases are machined as a pair. I believe interchangeable with
the late 650/750 chain drive also.

I took a chance and bought a KZ650 motor for 50.00 off of craiglist.
If it doesn't work ill do the repair on the original. :)
