R.C. Performance Products Header and Megaphone.

Hello Everyone, I just purchased a motorcycle exhaust pipe that I believe was manufactured by R.C. The megaphone says R.C. Performance Products and has a part number of 1031 on it. It came to me in a lot of parts I purchased. I was wondering if any of the old timers out there could tell me what make, model and years of motorcycle it fits. I already contacted R.C. They couldn't help me. Said "We discontinued motorcycle parts over 25+ years ago and do not have any information on previous work." Thanks.

I have an RC pipe on my KZ1000, but I'm not sure where the part number is located.

I can't really get a good look there. But the megaphone would fit about any header with the right collector diameter. You would be more interested in the head tube diameters, bend and spacing to determine bike fitment.

Russ Collins, was into Hondas in the mid 70's. He built the Scorrcerer, double and triple engine 750's.
Back then he had mostly Honda SOHC 750 parts. He eventually got into the Kaw Z parts of course.
Did you buy Kawasaki parts?? it might be a Z style pipe.
Or it could be for a 750 Honda SOHC.
He wanted to be the 1st Fuel bike to go 200MPH in the 1/4 mile. He crashed it at about 200. The NHRA used to let the fuel bikes run. Then they banned 3 engines after that crash.
I got my first catalog from RC Enginerring in 1977. Inside was a 3x2 poster of Russ holding that signature 4 into 1 header with a stoggie in his mouth. Standing in front of that dragbike at the starting line at a dragstrip.
Wish I still had it. Was in my Garage's for 25 years.

Show some pictures. And How Much?? do you want to sell it? It's nothing special performance wise. It's just another 4 into 1. A little better than the Denco left side exit pipe back then. I bought my 1st Kerker in 1978. Had a better street bike look and sound.
Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!
