Is it possible to convert a shaft drive 750 engine to chain drive?

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
Is it practical, no. Better to swap the engine/bike for a chain drive if that is what you want.

I saw a thread on here once about it. I can't find it but I believe you change the output shaft on the transmission, put a new sproket cover and sprocket as well as a wheel, chain and swing arm. You could get a cheap blown up engine and do a swap cheap. It doesn't look too hard.
