I have a 78 KZ750B3. I know a guy that has a 80 kZ750 twin as well. Does anyone know if these parts can be used on my 78?

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

Looks like that link has expired. Tried Kawasaki.com from my phone and it didn't work. I'll try my laptop. Any other suggestions anyone?

Pretty much everything except the rear wheel with drum brake, the swing arm (set up for drum brake) and the brake pedal (for drum brake). However, you can swap the whole rear end including drum brake to your 78, if desired. I did this to my 79 and ran it for awhile.

Everything else is the same.

Oops! Forgot to mention 78 has on/off light switch in the right switch pod and 80 doesn't (But you can swap 78 switch pod to 80 because wiring harness is the same, just jumpered under the tank)

The carbs and exhaust MAY be slightly different, not sure. I bought a good used set of vacuum pistons to replace the ones on my 1979 750 twin and the guy said they were interchangeable to the later year.... they were not. The ones I got had different needles and also different air holes and did not work in mine until I modified them to match mine. Even though the carbs were all Mikuni BS-38, I think they tweaked them slightly some years (?)
