Nitrous Bottle Mounting
24 Oct 2013 15:40
Guys,
Looking for advice on where you have mounted one or two nitrous bottles? Thinking about a couple of polished 10/11Oz bottles that are 2" by 15" I want to take a look at what some have done so I can modify my frame to fit the mounts.

I was hoping you were talking about the bigger 2/2.5lb bottles.
I'm not sure if the Sneaky Pete's have siphon tubes or not so orientation may play a factor. And are you wanting them hidden or exposed?

The NX Express bottles have siphon tubes I believe, but I would have to confirm. Thinking of having them exposed since they and their mounts would be polished. Was considering having them mounted one on each side along the edge of the tail.

I went back to your build thread and along the tail may be the only logical place to mount the bottle(s). I was going to suggest running them parallel to the rear frame tubes but you're running rearsets and moved the upper shock mounts and would have no room. The other option is in front of the rear wheel and just behind the inner fender but accessing the valves would be awkward.

I think so as well. Unless I would modify the tail and mount them ins a twin side by side arrangement above the tail.

Scrape the tail and maki it a bottle carrier? The bottles could be the top and sides ofthe tail.
