Adding oil pressure gauge

I'm looking a to add a 15 psi oil gauge to a 83 KZ1000J motor
there is a plug with an o-ring on the right side of the motor ( it is 14mm x 1.5 pitch thread)
My question is , do Z1 motors have a simular plug with this thread ?

If referring to the oil filler plug, kawasaki.com says OIL FILLER PLUG part number 16115-013 fits 147 Kawasaki models, including Z1 and J models.

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

I should've realized it's the OIL PASSAGE PLUG part number 92066-021, which kawasaki.com shows applicable to 65 Kawasaki models, including Z1 and J models.

The gauges are available (at least they used to be) for mounting either facing upward or facing to the right.

Good Fortune! :)

These engines have a 2.2 to 2.8 PSI pressure. I hope your gauge will read this low of a level.

You may want to contact these folks (see link below). Notice on Page 74 and Page 76 they have pressure gauges that read from 0 psi - 5 psi. Ed
