Oil pressure issues

I need some advice guys. Iam stumped. It all started last week me and buddy was out riding around our area. My oil cooler ended up getting a hair line fracture in the tank. I later found out that i must of came down to hard on it once and it hit the cooler. Well anyways we were messing around and i got on it and thats when my cooler let loose. I felt the oil on my leg. So i limped it home with the cooler leaking some. The oil light never came on and i was only about a 1/2 mile from the house. Soon i got back i checked the oil and it still had oil in it but it was low. Never had the first oil pressure light. Well i purchased a 13 row oil cooler from earls. I put the fittings down. I added oil and started it and it started up and the oil pressure light went off like normal. I let it sit for a couple seconds idling. No light. Started off down the road and i was babying it and i seen my light flicker. Then it did it again. From then on it stays on below 3 grand. I tried flipping the cooler over. I checked and changed the oil pressure sensor. Iam stumped. I checked all the passage ways. I blew thru the cooler. But you can take the line off and start it and when the pressure light is on its not pumping. But rev it up and light goes out and it starts pumping. And no before you ask i didnt run it for but just a few seconds with the line unhooked. So i pulled the pan and changed the pump, oil and filter. And the light still comes on. I havent tried any thing since i installed another pump and checked all passages to oil pressure sensors. But the light still comes on below 3 grand. But goes out and stays out above 3 grand. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI purchased an oil pressure gauge. I run between 3 and 6 pounds. I just don't trust the light. You might get the gauge so you would know what the pressure really is all the time.

I have this one and couldn't be happier.

Have you tried another pressure sensor to make sure it works correctly?
