This is a 81 ltd1000 with the J1 motor. I have found a 83 kz1100 cylinder and factory pistons. Is there any gottcha's to doing this swap?

I have a KZ1100 cylinder and pistons mounted on one of my J motors wrist pins are 17mm so plug and play, just use the 1100 gaskets ;)

I measured the pins and they are 17mm. What I have been told is 81-83 kz1100 or 81-82 gpz1100 cylinder and pistons will work.

I want to use my kz1000 head just had everything adjusted on mine. Do I have to go to the 1100 head? The compression will be greater with the 1000 head I think?

I talked to a guy in CA and he said this is the easiest way to increase performance. It is only a cylinder a piston swap. Everything else is the same. So I have my winter project.

I was told this was the way to go. It is more rideable than boring the 1000 cylinder and changing to 1075 pistons.
