Help!!! Bike won't start was created by smjohnston88
I just had my engine rebuild carbs are clean and synced, valves are good, it just won't start. I checked the coils theyre good, the only thing is my bike leans alittle much on the kickstand, I was wondering if that could be a problem? Maybe causing the gas to go to one side of the carbs. I'm just really at a lose here any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can you elaborate?

How long ago was the engine rebuilt? Was the bike running/starting OK before the engine was rebuilt... and as soon as the bike was put back together it wouldn't start?

More specifics would be helpful. But the first thing I would do is pull the plugs, check 'em for spark, and while they are out do a back-alley compression check. It won't cost you anything more than a half hour, and might get you on the right path.

Back-Alley Compression Check: Pull the spark plugs and press your thumb hard into each spark plug hole and turn the engine. If there isn't enough air pressure to break your thumb seal, you've got no compression.

Put your bike on the center stand.
Turn the petcock on.
Turn the kill switch to run.
Pull the choke on.
Turn the key on.
DO NOT TOUCH THE THROTTLE.
DO NOT PULL IN THE CLUTCH LEVER.
Use the kick starter and kick it.
It should start.
