:P Hey guys,
I took off the heads lightly tapped the pistons with a rubber mallet and it came free
Now I need to put it back together. Any dea ho w to get the timing right. I know appoximately where the pistons were.
So should I try that and put the cams back in and see what happens or is there a trick to it :silly:

Yes, there's a trick to it. It's known as using the Kawasaki Service Manual (see link below for PDF) ;) That's the only way to know for sure how to put the engine back together without damaging anything. Ed

The gaskets look good on this bike. Should I use them or replace them. If replace where can I get gaskets sets for the 1976 750 B1.
Also, the side covers washed away in the flood where can I get some more. B)

Replace the gaskets. Also if this happens again, hopefully it won't, change the oil and filter and ride the bike for a while, getting it good and warmed up. That way the heat from the engine will evaporate whatever water is present then change the oil and filter again and you should be good.

Z1 Enterprises is a good place to start. The dealership is the bad place to end.

House? Hmmph. You don't need a house - that's why God invented tents. Some people's priorities are just all wrong.
